Marcus “Red” Hubbard is a New Orleans trumpeter, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, and unstoppable force behind The Soul Rebels.

Since joining the band in 1998, Marcus has helped define its electrifying fusion of funk, jazz, hip hop, soul, and rock. Inspired by New Orleans brass bands and legends like Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Bob Marley, he brings fire, soul, and unmistakable Crescent City energy to every performance. Onstage, Marcus commands the spotlight, igniting crowds with blazing trumpet lines, soulful vocals, infectious energy, and a powerful connection with audiences. He helps drive the band’s sound, spirit, and showmanship, transforming every stage into an unforgettable celebration.

Marcus has toured all 50 states and nearly every continent. He has shared stages with Rakim, DMX, Metallica, and Earth, Wind & Fire, while performing at iconic events and venues ranging from the Super Bowl to the Hollywood Bowl.

Offstage, Marcus is the founder of Hubbard Brand, a clothing and lifestyle company, as well as a devoted husband and father. Through music, fashion, and fearless creativity, he continues to bring people together and spread the vibrant spirit of New Orleans across the globe.
